I highly recommend watching "The Bridge" on FX, another winner for the network that is fast-rising as my favorite network for original productions.

"The Americans" was my favorite show of the winter. "The Bridge" is fast following, and I'm catching up with On Demand.

The acting and storytelling both get better each episode. I'm halfway through. I read they were approved for a second season, perhaps instead of a single mystery or case, they'll work together on various cases.

Simple put, it's these two shows that dominate the late summer lineup: "Broadchurch" on BBC America and "The Bridge" on FX.

Both are fantastic, well acted and well written. Looking for the endings.
